Project Outline:
During the Christmas season of 2022, Chas Clarkson introduced an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience at the QVB. In collaboration with Dr. Bronwyn Bancroft and the Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, Chas created a unique digital overlay for the Wollemi Pine Christmas Tree. Visitors could access this enchanting experience by scanning a QR code provided on Level 2, encouraging them to explore further up the Christmas Tree. When visitors pointed their phones at the QVB Christmas Tree, they were delighted by the sight of magical augmented birds fluttering around it, enhancing the festive atmosphere for visitors of all ages.
