The Chas Clarkson team decided to escape the heat and celebrate inclusivity at Maroubra Pacific Square's Sweet Taste of Pride! The team collaborated with local queer artist Jeff McMann to create a never-before-seen installation inspired by Maroubra's coastal setting and the vibrant colours of the Pride flag. The installation, built by the Chas team and painted on-site by Jeff McCann, featured a charming cabin known as the 'love shack' surrounded by two large standing ice creams that evoked the spirit of celebration in the air. The colours of the progressive pride flag inspired artist Jeff McCann's ice cream installation, which recalled a childhood memory of eating ice cream in the summer heat and it melting down his arm. The eye design on the ice creams is a recurring motif in his work, symbolising his motto 'You Do You' and the pursuit of one's creative path.
