Project Outline:
The City of Parramatta reached out to Chas Clarkson to create an external statement piece that would reflect the Lunar New Year festival and the Year of the Ox. With sustainability at its core, we took an existing decorative shell and transformed it into an illuminated walk-through lantern, enveloping it with a canopy of smaller lanterns, cherry blossoms and lucky coins. With our client’s branding applied to the base, this beautiful statement piece lit up Centenary Square, greatly resonating with the Parramatta community.
