25 Martin Place

The brief from 25 Martin Place was to design a statement Christmas Tree and centrepiece that would become known as Sydney's Couture Christmas Tree, to sit alongside the existing iconic Christmas tree’s in the Sydney CBD. This 11-metre Christmas Tree was inspired by the building's architecture, designed by Harry Seidler, as well as the high fashion brands that surround it, with the centre becoming the destination for the new Flagship Valentino Store and vibrant dining precinct. The Christmas Tree is wrapped in 500 metres of foliage and adorned with 12 gold medallions and eight gold rings designed in-house that glow with RGB illumination. This Christmas Tree's lighting design is programmed to provide a stunning lighting experience at four different festive moments throughout the day. Chas Clarkson's iconic George Tree Top Star, measuring 1.4 metres, sits atop the Christmas Tree. Chas Clarkson's design and production teams collaborated in-house to bring this design to life, researching and prototyping materials and lighting that would result in an unforgettable finished product. Our Project Management team expertly planned and executed the installation of this 11-metre hero Christmas Tree to ensure a safe Christmas experience in a high-traffic area.
